Science Project.

My picture is Lichen Fungus and a tree and its relationship. Lichen and a tree represents mutlisim, the form of syboisis where both organisms are benifited. The lichen grows on the tree, getting sunlight. Meanwhile, the tree doesn't mind, but it has to compeate with the lichen for sunlight. I like this picture because the lichen growing on the tree looks very interesting. Also, I took this picture on a tree if front of Crossroads South Middle School, NJ, on the Kingston Lane side. This is a very good example of compition for plants.

Blog Assignment #3!!

French scientist Ivan Ineich displays a never-before-seen species of gecko, baptised with the Latin name Lepidodactylus buleli, at France's Natural History Museum in Paris, Friday, Nov. 7 , 2008. This gecko was born in Paris from an egg that was plucked from the canopy of forest on the west coast of Espiritu Santo, one of the larger South Pacific islands of the archipelago of Vanuatu, east of Australia. *

Here is my third blog assignment!

Who: The new species of gecko, Lepidodactylus buleli.



What: Hatched from an egg, a new species of gecko has been discovered. This event is rare because researchers usually find new species from the wild, and almost never hatch one from a pure egg.



When: This happened Saturday, November 8th.



Where: The research lab where the egg was hatched was in France's Museum of Natural History. The egg was retrieved from west coast of Espiritu Santo, one of the largest islands in the Vanuatu archipelago east of Australia.



Why: Scientists are trying to find diff rent species all around the world. Trying to get an already discovered species, scientists were surprised when this new critter hatched.



My Opinion: I think this article is important because of endangered species. Many species are dying, and I think its great that new species are being discovered. There are many other species just waiting to be discovered, so that's why I think this article is important.
